Description
The Marketing Manager has overall responsibility for creating and developing the marketing initiatives and enhanced product offerings for VoiceMailTel in the North America. The position will be located in Toronto. Primary responsibilities include understanding of market and customer requirements, as well as VoiceMailTel's strategic objectives, in order to build high-value programs for lead generation, customer satisfaction, partner collaboration, and influence consumers through strategic placement and marketing. The areas of responsibilities include:
Planning & Execution
- Plan, evaluate and direct activities necessary to meet current and future product launch requirements, like Toll Free numbers, hosted PBX, VoIP services, etc.
- Coordinate lead generation online campaigns.
- Nourish existing user relationships through up sell marketing efforts
- Communicate new product features to partners
- Assist the positioning of new strategic products in the local markets and target segments
Communications, Sales & MarketingSupport
- Coordinate, communicate, and manage product requirements with marketing departments within VoiceMailTel
- Conduct market research to current and prospective customers and partners on potential for new VoiceMailTel services and required features of these services
- Understand and communicate external competitive marketing techniques and the impact on VoiceMailTel's roadmap
- Create and maintain product competitive matrix; identify competitor strengths & weaknesses and communicate to sales force. Coordinate all product competitor intelligence activities
- Work with internal resources to position product in America and create product and ensure that marketing goals are in line with overall VoiceMailTel direction
Marketing Performance
- Develop performance metrics and institute processes to capture and measure lead conversion; product success; report key performance indicators to internal management
Requirements
- Must have related experience (3-5 years) in a marketing role, preferably in consumer and telecommunications marketing
- Working knowledge of general business practices
- Overall familiarity with data processing and software environments
- Very strong online research skills
- Must have analytical, quantitative and effective presentation skills
- Provide weekly project status reports and escalate issues to management as required
Decisions and methods of work performance are conducted within parameters of established procedures, processes, practices and guidelines. All major deviations from instructions require supervisory approval.
